The only thing keeping this defense afloat is the turnovers

One of the rankings that shock me about the Chargers, they are 31st in the league in rushing. This is a team with Tomlinson and Sproles, and they are second to last in the league It’s a trend for the top teams in the AFC as the Colts are 30th.3. (D) Cincinnati Bengals (Last Week D3)It was hard watching the Bengals play the Vikings, as they were dominated in every possible way. Are the Vikings that much better of a team, or has Minnesota exploited their weaknessesOver the last few years, we have seen a transformation of the NFL from a defense wins championships to a pass happy let’s score league. The Bengals still represent those dominating defenses still giving up only 16.7 points for second best in the NFL.4. (W) Denver Broncos (Last Week D4)Another defensive team representing the old NFL is the Denver Broncos They are 2nd against the pass and 3rd against the rush.

This is a team that could cause some problems for Indy and San Diego when everything is on the line. The problem with Denver is they are relying on this defense too much, and we saw last week that one man cannot win a football game.5. (W) Baltimore Ravens (Last Week W6)I believe there is a drop-off from one and two on this list to numbers three and four. Wins against Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Oakland will set the Ravens up nicely on a four-game win streak going into the playoffs.6. (D) New England Patriots (Last Week D5)Barely, just barely, did the Patriots beat the Panthers. Maybe it’s not just Randy Moss who’s quitting on this team, maybe it’s more than that Maybe losing too many players to free agency has finally caught up with the Pats.

Don’t overlook Buffalo getting some revenge on these Pats, but they still win the division by default.NFC1. (D) New Orleans Saints (Last Week D1)Who dat Ohh … that’s who. The Saints have played some nail biters over the last few weeks, and I believe the Cowboys are going to upset the Saints this week. They still are the best offensive team in football as they are 1st in points and 1st in yards in the NFL, but the defense is allowing 348 yards per game. The only thing keeping this defense afloat is the turnovers.2. (D) Minnesota Vikings (Last Week D2)One word impressive describes the Vikings last week over Cincy.
