Justin Bocot and Kendal BrownSurles provide some back court depth

He played many minutes last year and the hope is that by playing a few less minutes per game this year, he could be that much more productive. Anthony Booker is another sophomore and one of the highest players ever to commit to a Missouri Valley team. Foul trouble has hindered his progress but this kid needs to play - a lot. Tony Freeman is the only senior on the squad and was Iowas leading scorer before transferring to Southern Nick Evans has made huge progress, and, yes, is a sophomore.

Gene Teague is a bit of a project but provides even more size and is a freshman.Carlton Fay has not been the shooter he should have been but has been developing different aspects of his offensive game and is an outstanding foul shooter. Justin Bocot and Kendal Brown-Surles provide some back court depth.Defensive intensity has been the staple of Saluki teams for many years This years edition may not be the same type of team. Coach Chris Lowery has to decide if can let his offensively talented team loose and not try to grind it out every game. Maybe at times in the past this was done out of necessity or maybe it was stubbornness. The Arkansas Razorback football team is focused on theirpreparation for ECU and the Liberty Bowl on Jan. There are recruits coming from California, Florida,Louisiana, and Mississippi on their official visits.Conveniently, the Hogs host Stephen F Austin in Bud Walton Arena on Saturday Dec. 19th and this should be a great time for the recruits to see Hog fans and the top notch facilities at the University of Arkansas. There is one little problem: the fans have to come out for the game and show the Arkansas basketball team support, something that has appeared to be similar to getting teeth pulled to the "average" Razorback fan lately. The lack of interest/support for the basketball team needs to not be evident this weekend, because among the official visitors there will be two Army All-Americans in Shon Coleman and Damien Robinson from Olive Branch, MS.These two players are among the top 100 recruits in the nation and would be a huge addition to the Razorbacks current recruiting class. Also there will be a USC commit from California who is one of the top Juco prospects in the nation. These are just a few of the recruits slated to visit this weekend and there are a handful of other highly talented and coveted recruits that will be making visits along with these players. As any fan of college sports knows, recruiting is the life-blood of a program and players want to see fan support at their future home for the next four or five years.Razorback basketball games use to be the perfect opportunity for the Arkansas coaching staff to show that amazing fan support of the Razorbacks, but not so far this year. The Razorbacks crowds are so small that there are no lines to get snacks, use the restroom, enter or exit the games, and so on. You get the picture especially if you have ever been to Bud Walton or better yet if you attended games in Barnhill Arena.Just last season top recruits Ronnie Wingo and others stated that the fans at the basketball games really impressed them and made them feel comfortable and wanted at Arkansas. What a difference a year makes. These recruits will have a great time, but a great Razorback basketball crowd could be the icing on the cake The coaches will show them the campus.
